Note: This was painted from a photograph of the scene in Robson Square in Vancouver, during the 2010 Winter Olympics. The whole crowd was just captivated with the monitor showing live sports streams. I think that the crowd in this image was watching the luge. Luge isn't that big of a sport in Canada, but I don't think that anyone cared; I think that we were hoping that we would come out on top for once. We tend to feel like the picked on younger brother of the US; we won more than expected. It was surreal.
